Your PCP might refer you to a specialist, such as a cardiologist, endocrinologist, or other physician who will care for your specific medical needs. However, some services will need to be pre-authorized before they can be performed.

The timeline to receive an authorization varies, but on average, they are processed within 3 to 10 business days.
The prior authorization is mailed directly to your address on record.
